Welcome to my Seshion
Going to do my best at keeping this as simple as possible. I hope to add to the narrative of de-stigmatizing Cannabis. I figured I’d get straight to the point.
I’m excited about having my own space where I can write not only about my observations but also about the things within this space that I am passionate about. With that said, I by no means will ever call myself an “expert” but I would consider myself a consumer. On and off actually throughout my life. I think a lot of people have their own story with Cannabis and I don’t think it’s linear for everyone. I want to open conversations with the people not only in this community but from all walks of life. Everyone from lawyers, doctors, athletes, and creatives. I’ll explore how their own personal Cannabis use has benefitted their lives creatively and personally.
I grew up in New York City when it was “Stop & Frisk” which has left an impact on me throughout my life. It has taken some healing to break away from what it was like to watch in my neighborhood on a day-to-day basis. The black and brown communities have been the ones most affected through the years negatively because of the narrative around Cannabis. My voice will hopefully be one of many discussing the positive sides of consuming Cannabis. But also around the narrative that has been placed within the black and brown communities now that there is finally a conversation around “De-criminalization.”
Hopefully, this written series which I’ve titled “Seshions” will accomplish just that. It’s time to change the narrative.
